Your Online Making Money Guide

The first step in the process needs to be finding your first “niche market” that you are going to enter.
This will take a little time and research, but will pay you back greatly if you spend the time and effort now.

Some advice…….when first starting out, don’t try to get into the “make money” niche, or the “weight loss” niche, or any other one that is extremely competitive……..now thats not to say that a little competition isn’t good……you just need to have a chance of your site being seen.

Here’s where the ‘Gurus’ leave you hanging…they tell you to “find a niche,then….” they leave out HOW to find one!

I can explain how to find a niche best by examples……..here goes……….
I am trying to imagine something that people are passionate about….something that they will purchase even when the economy is not strong…..an example is cigarettes…no matter how broke a smoker is, they will still find enough money to buy a pack…….O.K. this is not a good niche, and smoking is an addiction, but you see the point that I am trying to make.

Hobbies are good ideas if you can find one that has a decent amount of search volume and not a lot of competition. A possible suggestion off the top of my head is “archery”….
when I type that into Google, the suggested searches that appear in the drop down box show “archery tips”.

I click on this and scroll to the bottom of the page and see listed under “Searches related to: archery tips” I see “archery shooting tips” and “archery deer hunting tips”….now when I put the first keyword phrase int Google Adwords free keyword tool. I also see “Bow shooting tips”…..these all show some promise.

A quick search of Clickbank marketplace shows a product that you can sell as an affiliate, “The Comprehensive Guide to Archery”

With this type of a niche, you could easily start a Wordpress blog, post a link to the comprehensive guide with your clickbank i.d., and you could further monetize your site by offering archery supplies, bows, targets, etc.
This can be done as an affiliate through Amazon or another vendor.
You can gather some information and write a 10-20 page e-book to give away to subscribers for free.

Learn to think outside the box……..the sky is the limit…try using hobbies, pets, food, clothes, interests,etc……Also instead of say “archery shooting Tips” maybe try archery shooting tips for the left handed archer” ….be creative. Use related content on your blog, write helpful articles to use on your blog and also to post at ezinearticles or any other free directory, and link back to your blog in the resource box.
